Notes

This is a digital summary of my hand written notes. I tend to work better on paper, but I don't think scanning would make my writing very clear for others to read, so I'm typing it up instead.

I've listed the lyrics and the footage I'm expecting to accompany them with, all revisions have been written in brackets next to the crossed out previous idea. Some ideas are in brackets because I'm not certain that I want to keep them, or they haven't been finalised yet.

Opening Shot: Ambient noise, slow fade in from black to mushroom cloud, radio crackle, voice over report about bomb explosion, (fade out to black again?)

The sky is green
> Green coloured effect on sky, pan down to ??
it's been that way since they dropped the bomb,
> News report two months since bomb, war has ended, (like Hiroshima?)
the clouds are brown
> effects on sky? (Interesting) deserted location, beach?
the city's a ghost town,

> effect on Yarra river, to appear empty/destroyed? Scummy riverside
The hair on my head came out,
> "Warning! Radiation" signs, with information about health/safety, Fallout (the videogame) style?
it fell on the ground
> Flashback, mushroom cloud, hair falling out, main female in house/hospital
none of the sun light is safe
> light filtering through trees in park, looks scenic but eerie, deserted. (Rubbish/evidence of picnics or park activities to add to eeriness?)
litter is blowing all around the side walk.

> People on phones? technology and communication? Not disaster movie now, so no masses of people to be shown, this idea needs replacement.

It's been that since we lost the war
> Soldiers/prisoners? (again, no longer about present war situation)
we looted the store,
> Brick through window/people in shop? (not likely to be possible, and not relevant anymore)
we had to eat something,

I heard about sixty-nine hundred, people have died

the shelter is hell,
> More TV footage of refugees, or flashback of girl being in refugee shelter
smells like shit,

no body knows how long we're s'posed to stay in it.

Equipment: Camera, tripod and sound (owned already), lights?
